Circular Ring 2 tracks your sport sessions across runs, rides, gym workouts, outdoor routes, and more, measuring heart rate, pace, distance, calories, activity intensity, and zones in real time.

Most fitness trackers treat workouts as one-off events. You log the run. You check the calories. You move on. Your body does not work that way. A hard session can affect your HRV, recovery, resting heart rate, sleep, and energy for hours or even days. Circular Ring 2 connects each workout to the bigger recovery picture, so you can see whether today is a day to push, adjust, or pull back.
Distance, pace, and calories are useful metrics. They become significantly more useful when read alongside your HRV, your sleep quality from the night before, and the recovery load your body is still carrying from two sessions ago. A fitness tracker that does not make that connection is giving you training data without training intelligence.
Most serious fitness trackers or workout trackers require a second device, a watch you strap on before the gym and take off after. That means two sets of data, two apps, and a gap in your baseline between workout days and rest days. Circular Ring 2 is the same ring you wear all night and all day. No swap. No gap. No missing context.
The workout ends. The app closes. Most fitness trackers have no mechanism to show you how that session shapes tomorrow. No connection to your energy score. No flag that today's session pushed the recovery load past the threshold. No context for why your sleep was shallower the night after intervals. The data stops where the session stops.
Sport Sessions on Circular Ring 2 turns the ring into a full workout tracker, manually started, activity-specific, and connected to every other signal the ring reads. Track your run with GPS. Monitor your heart rate through intervals. Review your post-session report. Then watch that session feed directly into your recovery picture, your Energy Score, and Kira AI's recommendation for the day ahead.
From running and cycling to gym training, swimming, yoga, hiking, and beyond, Circular Ring 2 supports over 30 activity types, each with appropriate tracking parameters. Sessions are manually triggered from the app, giving you precise start and stop control regardless of the activity.
Circular Ring 2 uses a dedicated sport heart rate algorithm during active sessions, increasing sampling frequency and adjusting for movement artifacts to deliver accurate, responsive heart rate data in real time. See which zones you're working in as you train, not just an average after the fact.
For running, cycling, hiking, and other outdoor sessions, GPS is available via your paired phone. Your route is mapped, your distance measured, and your pace charted against the terrain you covered. Every outdoor session produces a full route summary alongside your biometric data.
When your session ends, Circular Ring 2 generates a complete activity report: duration, heart rate graph, pace, distance, calories, and intensity summary. And you end up with a structured readout of how the session went and how your body responded to it.
Every sport session is read by Kira AI alongside your overnight recovery, HRV trend, and current Energy Score. A hard session on a low-recovery day is flagged differently from the same session on a well-rested day. Training load is not invisible. It is a live input into how Circular Ring 2 reads your readiness for what comes next.
The ring you sleep in is the ring you train in. Circular Ring 2 handles both in the same 3-gram titanium body, 2.55mm thin, with no screen to crack and no device to swap. Fitness tracking, recovery tracking, sleep tracking, one ring, one app, one continuous read on your health.
Sport Sessions, GPS route tracking, real-time heart rate, and post-session reports are all included with Circular Ring 2. No premium tier required to access your own workout data.
Your 10k this morning felt strong. The pace was good, HR stayed controlled. But your Recovery Score was 61 when you woke up and your HRV had been suppressed for two days from the training block earlier in the week. Kira AI reads the session load against your current recovery state and flags that the cumulative cost has pushed past your recovery capacity.
You have been cycling three to four times a week but progress has stalled. Your sessions feel hard but your energy does not improve. Circular Ring 2's heart rate data reveals you are spending most of each session in zone 2, without ever touching higher intensity zones. Kira AI surfaces the pattern after two weeks of sessions and turns that into a training adjustment.
Your sleep score was 58. HRV is below baseline. Wake Up Score was 71. You had a gym session planned. Circular Ring 2 does not stop you, but Kira AI adjusts the context. Your Energy Score reflects the depleted overnight recovery, and the post-session report shows your heart rate running higher than usual for a session of equivalent perceived effort. Kira AI notes the mismatch: same session, higher cardiac cost.
You travel for work and your running routes change city to city. GPS tracking via your paired phone maps each run, records the terrain, and logs the session to your activity history alongside your heart rate and pace data. Two weeks of data across three cities gives you a comparative view of how pace, heart rate response, and recovery differ by route and elevation. The fitness tracking becomes a portable performance log that travels with you.
You are not training for a race. You are building a consistent movement habit. Sport Sessions gives you a structured record of every session when you trained, how hard, how your body responded, and how each session affected the recovery picture. After eight weeks, the pattern is visible: three sessions per week produces measurably better recovery baselines than four.
You are four weeks into a structured training block. The volume is climbing. Your heart rate during sessions has been creeping up at the same pace. Your overnight HRV has trended down across the week. Your Recovery Score yesterday was 55. Kira AI surfaces the convergence: rising session HR, falling HRV, and two consecutive low-recovery mornings. The pattern is an early overtraining signal.
Every session you log feeds the bigger picture. Circular Ring 2 tracks 14+ core health signals and reads them alongside your training data. Your sport sessions are not recorded in a separate fitness tracking app. They become part of your Energy Score, your Recovery Score, and Kira AI's daily recommendation.
Kira AI
After every sport session, Kira AI reads your activity data alongside your other vitals and gives you three things: not just how hard you worked, but whether your body was ready to benefit from it, and what to do in the next 24 hours to make the most of it.
Open the Circular app, scroll left to the Sport Session Circle, select your activity from 30+ supported sports, and start. Sessions are manually triggered, giving you precise control over what is tracked and when. There is no auto-detection lag and no accidental session starts.
Heart rate via PPG sensor with sport-optimised algorithm, motion and activity data via accelerometer, and GPS route data via your paired phone for outdoor activities. Duration, pace, distance, and calorie estimates are derived from these signals in combination.
Circular Ring 2 uses a dedicated heart rate algorithm during active sessions to account for the increased movement and higher physiological demand of exercise. Sampling frequency increases during sessions to deliver more responsive real-time data.
GPS for outdoor route mapping is provided via your paired phone, not the ring hardware itself. For activities where route mapping matters your phone needs to be present to record the route. Indoor and stationary activities do not require GPS.
Session duration, heart rate graph across the full session, average and peak heart rate, distance covered, pace breakdown, calories burned, and a summary of session intensity. For outdoor activities with GPS, a route map is included.
Each completed sport session is read by the ring's health engine alongside your recovery, HRV, sleep, and stress data. Training load from sessions contributes to your Energy Score and is visible to Kira AI when generating your daily recommendation. A hard session on a low-recovery day will be reflected in both scores.
Circular Ring 2 is not a replacement for dedicated sports equipment, professional performance tracking, or clinical exercise monitoring. Calorie estimates are approximations. GPS accuracy depends on the phone signal environment. Heart rate accuracy during very high-intensity movements may vary by session type.
All activity and health data is encrypted and processed in compliance with GDPR and HIPAA standards.

Open the Circular app, scroll left in your circles to reach the Sport Session Circle, select your activity from the list of 30+ supported sports, and start the session manually. When your workout is done, stop the session in the app to generate your post-session report.
Circular Ring 2 supports over 30 activity types including running, cycling, gym training, hiking, yoga, swimming, and more. For the full current list of supported activities, visit the Circular app or the product page.
Sport sessions are manually triggered. You start the session when you begin your workout and stop it when you finish. This gives you precise control over what is tracked and avoids partial or accidental session records.
GPS route tracking for outdoor activities uses your paired phone's GPS rather than hardware built into the ring. For runs, rides, and hikes where route mapping matters, carry your phone with you. Indoor and stationary sessions do not require GPS.
During a session the ring tracks heart rate in real time, duration, pace, distance (for GPS-enabled outdoor activities), calories, and session intensity. After the session, all of this data is compiled into a post-session report with a heart rate graph and, for outdoor sessions, a route map.
Circular Ring 2 uses a dedicated sport heart rate algorithm that increases sampling frequency and accounts for movement during exercise. Accuracy is high for steady-state activities like running and cycling. Very high-intensity movements with significant arm motion may affect reading quality.
Yes. Training load from completed sport sessions is one of the inputs read by the ring's health engine when calculating recovery. A high-intensity session or a high-volume training week will be reflected in your Recovery Score the following day.
Yes. Completed sessions contribute to your Energy Score as part of the overall activity and recovery picture. Kira AI reads your session data alongside your overnight biometrics when generating your daily Energy Score and recommendation.
Heart rate data is tracked continuously during sessions. For current details on in-session zone display, check the latest version of the Circular app.
Kira AI reads each completed session alongside your recovery state, HRV trend, sleep data, and training history. If your session load is high relative to your current recovery, Kira AI will flag the combination and adjust its daily recommendation accordingly, typically toward more recovery time, reduced intensity on the next session, or a rest day.
Yes. Completed sessions are stored in the Circular app and available for review. You can compare session performance across weeks, track training consistency, and observe how training load correlates with recovery trends over time.
For current data export options, check the Circular app or our help centre.
Heart rate, duration, and motion data are tracked by the ring directly and do not require a phone. GPS route mapping for outdoor activities requires your paired phone to be present. All session data syncs to the app when the phone and ring reconnect.
Circular Ring 2 is designed as a comprehensive health and fitness tracker in a smart ring form factor. It covers the core needs of everyday fitness tracking and recovery monitoring. Athletes with highly specific performance requirements may still find a dedicated sports watch useful for those specific sessions, while using Circular Ring 2 for continuous health and recovery monitoring.
Circular Ring 2 does not replace professional training equipment, guarantee performance outcomes, measure calories with clinical precision, or detect injuries. It is a fitness and health tracking tool designed to support better training and recovery decisions, not to provide medical or clinical performance assessments.
