Circular Ring 2 tracks your body’s readiness through sleep stages, Wake Up Score, and Energy Score. It helps you understand whether your morning tiredness came from poor sleep timing, low recovery, or the signals your body carried overnight.

Most people wake up the same way every morning: a fixed alarm… a groggy first few minutes and tired feeling all day long. The problem is not willpower or sleep hygiene. It is information. Specifically, the absence of one useful piece of it: where were you in your sleep cycle when the alarm fired?
A recovery tracker that does not track the stage you woke from cannot explain your mornings. And a readiness score that is only built from sleep duration is missing the variable that shapes how the morning actually feels.
Eight hours sounds good. But eight broken hours and eight steady hours do not feel the same in the morning. The number of hours you slept matters. But so does the way you slept, and the sleep stage you woke from.
A normal alarm only knows the time. It does not know if your body is close to waking or deep in sleep. That is why some mornings feel easy and others feel heavy. The alarm went off at the wrong point in your sleep cycle.
A recovery tracker should do more than give you a number. It should help you understand why you woke up tired, what your body carried from the night, and what to do with that information today.
Circular Ring 2 tracks your sleep stages, HRV, heart rate, skin temperature, and overnight movement to show how ready your body is when you wake. Together, they help you understand why some mornings feel heavy even after enough hours in bed.
Circular Ring 2 tracks your sleep stages through the night using HRV, heart rate, skin temperature, and movement. It shows whether your sleep was steady, broken, light, deep, or somewhere in between, so your morning recovery picture is built on more than hours slept.
You set a wake window in the app. Inside that window, Smart Alarm looks for a lighter sleep stage and wakes you at a better moment. This can help your morning feel less heavy.
When you wake, Wake Up Score shows how well timed your wake moment was. A higher score means you woke closer to light sleep or a near awake stage. A lower score means your sleep was interrupted at a deeper point, which can explain morning grogginess.
Wake Up Score feeds into your Energy Score, helping Circular build a fuller picture of your morning recovery. It is one signal among many, alongside sleep, HRV, heart rate, and overnight recovery data.
Wake Up Score, Smart Alarm, sleep stage tracking, and Energy Score are included with Circular Ring 2 as part of the 14+ core features. No monthly fee.
You have a presentation at 10am, but your Wake Up Score is low. Instead of forcing focus right away, you start slower. You take a walk, eat something light, and handle simple tasks first. The score helps you pace the morning instead of fighting your body.
Your Wake Up Score has been low all week. The alarm time has not changed, but your sleep timing has. Circular shows the pattern, and Kira AI helps you adjust your bedtime so your final sleep cycle can land better.
You crossed time zones, and your mornings still feel heavy. Circular shows how your sleep timing, Wake Up Score, and Energy Score are shifting. Kira AI gives you simple steps to help your body settle into the new rhythm.
After an easy day, your Wake Up Score is high and your Energy Score looks strong. After a late workout, both can drop. Circular helps you see how training, sleep timing, and recovery are connected.
Your nights are not always predictable. Maybe you are a parent, a light sleeper, or someone with a changing schedule. Wake Up Score helps you understand each morning, while Energy Score shows the bigger recovery pattern over time.
You slept nine hours, but you still woke up tired. Circular can show whether your alarm caught you in a deeper sleep stage. The problem was not laziness. It was timing, recovery, or the way your night ended.
While this readiness tracker data tells you how your night ended, the smart ring tells you why it went the way it did. Circular Ring 2 tracks 14+ core health signals and reads them together. Your Wake Up Score feeds your Energy Score every morning. Your Energy Score feeds Kira AI's daily recommendation. Every number connects to the next one, and every morning starts with a clearer insight on what the body is actually carrying into the day and what you can do about it.
Kira AI
A single score is useful. A series of scores, read alongside your bedtime consistency, your stress levels in the evening, your training load, your sleep onset timing, and the notes you logged about travel or late meals, becomes something more valuable. It becomes a pattern with a cause.
Kira AI reads your recovery tracker data over time and connects them to the inputs that precede them. When your scores dip across a week, Kira AI does not show you the trend and leave you to guess why. It correlates the dip with the variables that shifted in the same window and writes a single plain-language recommendation tied to the most actionable cause.
Wake Up Score is based on a single, clearly defined variable: the sleep stage you are in at the exact moment you wake up, and how deep into that stage you were. It is not a composite of your recovery history, baseline trends, or prior nights. It is a fresh calculation made each morning from the sleep session that just ended.
90 and above, Optimal. You woke during light sleep or from an awake stage. Alertness arrives quickly, sleep inertia is minimal or absent.
80 to 89, Correct. You woke during REM sleep. Brief sleep inertia is possible but typically short-lived.
Below 80, Poor. You woke up during a deep sleep. Sleep inertia is likely and may persist for 20 to 45 minutes. Pacing the first part of the morning is the most practical response.
Circular Ring 2 classifies sleep stages using a combination of heart rate variability, resting heart rate, skin temperature, and accelerometer motion data. These signals are read together continuously throughout the night, allowing the ring to track stage transitions in real time and identify the optimal wake moment within your set alarm window.
You define an alarm window, a range of minutes before your hard wake time. Inside that window, Circular Ring 2 monitors your sleep stage in real time and triggers the alarm at the lightest detected moment. If you remain in deep sleep throughout the window, the alarm fires at the end of the window regardless, but the score will reflect the non-optimal timing accurately.
Once per sleep session, at wake. The score is not recalculated, adjusted, or revised based on how the rest of the day unfolds. It is a morning snapshot of one precise biological moment.
Wake Up Score contributes to your Energy Score at a lower weighting than recovery-heavy signals like HRV and sleep architecture. Its contribution reflects the reality that how you wake shapes how the day begins.
Wake Up Score measures wake-moment timing and sleep stage at the point of waking. It does not diagnose sleep disorders, predict fatigue across the full day, or replace clinical sleep evaluation. For concerns about chronic sleep disruption, share your trend data with a medical professional.
All sleep and health data is encrypted and processed in compliance with GDPR and HIPAA standards.

"I like that it does not just say “bad sleep” and leave me there. If my Wake Up Score is low, Kira connects it with my sleep timing, energy, and recovery pattern. It helps me decide whether to start slow or push into the day."
★★★★★
"The biggest change was understanding my mornings. I could sleep eight hours and still feel awful. Now I can see whether I woke from a bad point in the cycle and how that affected my Energy Score."
★★★★★
"I used to think waking up tired meant I had not slept enough. Circular showed me that the problem was often how I woke up, not just how long I slept. Seeing my Wake Up Score next to my Energy Score made the morning finally make sense."
Circular Ring 2 is a wellness device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Wake Up Score is the number Circular Ring 2 gives you each morning to show how well your body handled the moment of waking. It looks at the sleep stage you woke from and how deep into that stage you were. A higher score usually means your body surfaced from a lighter stage. A lower score means you may have been pulled out of deeper sleep, which can make the morning feel heavier.
Wake Up Score helps explain how your morning started. It does not measure your full recovery on its own. Instead, it works alongside signals like HRV, heart rate, sleep quality, skin temperature, and overnight movement to give Circular Ring 2 a clearer picture of your readiness.
Wake Up Score measures one precise moment: how your body woke up. Energy Score gives you the bigger morning picture. It combines Wake Up Score with recovery signals such as sleep, HRV, heart rate, and other overnight data to show how ready your body is for the day.
Because sleep duration is only one part of recovery. You may have slept long enough, but your sleep may have been broken, your HRV may have dropped, your body temperature may have shifted, or you may have woken from a deeper sleep stage. Circular Ring 2 helps separate those causes instead of leaving you with one vague “bad sleep” label.
A score of 90 or above means your wake moment was optimal. You likely woke from light sleep or a near-awake stage.
A score between 80 and 89 means your wake moment was correct. You may feel a little groggy, but it should usually pass quickly.
A score below 80 means your wake moment was poor. You likely woke from deeper sleep, so sleep inertia may be stronger.
Sleep inertia is the heavy, slow, foggy feeling that can happen after waking from deep sleep. It does not always mean you slept badly or that something is wrong. It means your brain and body may need more time to fully switch into the day.
No. A low Wake Up Score means your morning may need a softer start. It can be a sign to begin with easier tasks, hydrate, get light exposure, take a walk, or give yourself more time before deep focus or training.
Yes. Wake Up Score contributes to your daily Energy Score, but it is not the only signal. Energy Score also reads recovery-heavy data like HRV, sleep structure, heart rate, and overnight patterns. Wake Up Score helps explain the start of the day, while Energy Score shows the broader readiness picture.
No. Wake Up Score is based on the sleep session that just ended. It looks at the stage you woke from and how deep into that stage you were. Your longer-term recovery and readiness patterns are reflected more strongly in Energy Score and Kira AI insights.
Kira AI reads your Wake Up Score together with your Energy Score, sleep timing, recovery trends, stress patterns, and logged habits. If your mornings keep starting low, Kira AI can help connect the pattern to likely causes, such as inconsistent bedtime, late workouts, stress, travel, or poor recovery.
Yes. Wake Up Score helps you see whether your morning tiredness is connected to wake timing, recovery, or your overnight body signals. Over time, this makes it easier to adjust bedtime, morning pacing, training, or evening habits based on what your body is actually showing.
Your Wake Up Score appears in the Alarm Clock circle after you wake up wearing Circular Ring 2. You can also view it alongside your Energy Score to understand how your wake moment fits into your full morning readiness.
Not exactly. Wake Up Score is one readiness signal. Circular Ring 2 works as a readiness tracker by combining Wake Up Score with Energy Score, HRV, heart rate, sleep, temperature, and other overnight data. That combined view gives you a better read on how ready your body is.
Yes, it can be used as a recovery tracker. Circular Ring 2 tracks recovery through sleep, HRV, heart rate, skin temperature, movement, Wake Up Score, and Energy Score. It helps you understand not only whether you slept, but how your body responded overnight and what that means for the day ahead.
No. Circular Ring 2 does not diagnose insomnia, sleep apnea, chronic fatigue, or any medical condition. It is a wellness and recovery tracker. If you have ongoing sleep problems, extreme fatigue, or health concerns, share your trend data with a medical professional.
